him: Stickler for hyphens, eh? Can I say that I'm not TOTALLY surprised?
me: (falls about laughing)
I probably over-use the hyphen, it's true.
him: Well, for a woman obsessed with serial commas, a HYPHEN, in all its intrusive glory, must be irresistible.
me: ahem. sometimes a hyphen is just a hyphen...
him: Or a long, sleek DASH--
me: you mean...an EM-dash?
